PKR, DAP, PAS To Discuss Selangor Executive Councillor Line-up

SHAH ALAM, March 11 (Bernama) — The newly-elected PKR-DAP-PAS coalition government in Selangor will deliberate on the executive councillor line-up soon.

Kinrara state assemblywoman Teresa Kok said the DAP was willing to cooperate with PAS and PKR to set up a stable government.

“PKR, DAP, and PAS will have a thorough discussion on the executive councillor line-up,” she told reporters after an audience with the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at Istana Bukit Kayangan here today.

She said during the 40-minute meeting to seek his consent to form the coalition government, the DAP presented a letter supporting PKR secretary-general Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to be the new menteri besar.

“I represented the assemblymen from DAP to pay homage to the Sultan. He wants to make sure the DAP supports Khalid while the other two parties (PKR and PAS) can work together to form a new government,” she said.

On whether the post of deputy menteri besar would be created and that she was tipped to be the candidate, Kok said: “That will be announced later.”

Meanwhile, PAS Selangor Commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali who had an audience with the Sultan at 5.30pm, declined to comment on the meeting when he left the palace at 7pm.

Hasan was accompanied by PAS deputy president Nasaruddin Mat Isa and its Terengganu Commissioner Datuk Mustafa Ali.
